

Two steps forward and three steps back . .
We thought we had the red tape behind us with the health department approval and that it would be clear sailing ahead. Our next step was to get our building permit from the county. We naively thought this next step would be an easy putt because Tom had done such a wonderful job keeping them informed. Hah! You see, before even purchasing the building, we went to the county and shared our vision and plans for Tomari's Coffee Shop and asked if there would be any hidden concerns

Well, we're learning! I shall never forget the day we took ownership of what was formally called "The little log store". Tom and I packed up some cocktails and drove to the store on April 29, 2016 to toast our new venture. Standing in our very own building, arms round each other, we romantically envisioned our exciting new future together. Getting Started . . .
This coffee shop is a new life adventure for both of us. We moved to the foothills about 10 years ago. Tom is originally from Wisconsin and a die-hard Packer fan and Mari is a Colorado gal who loves the Broncos. We met and fell in love later in life with our children grown now sharing eight amazing grandchildren.
